Worked for what I needed on my cable deck
Great value. I highly recommend placing fittings on both ends of your cable. I took an old set of bolt cutters and ground a flat spot the width of the barrel swage yo create a crimper. Crimp it 3 times for security. Drill your holes. Take a paddle bit slightly wider than your deep well socket and put tape on its shaft the depth you need to drill to expose the thread of the swage on the opposite side where the wire enters your post. Put a larger washer on the assembly to prevent pull through. To install the second swage, I assemble it and push it through the wood and then cut the wire to fit and cut/swage it in place. After tightening, I install wood plugs to fill the holes. Great price and product. They do make longer threaded shafts, but way more $$ Very satisfied.
The reason for a couple of three stars is you need some experience and effort to satisfactorily install these. Not an effortless experience. Well worth the money and effort.
These are easy to use and look great once installed
We used quite a few of these on a cable rail system. Ended up double crimping just cause we wanted to.
