Very easy to use. The little wrench wore out and opened up after many were installed. I found out if you use a drill motor to screw it in most of the way before swaging in the cables and just using the wrench to tighten up the cable at the end works best. Takes a little bit to learn the easiest way to install them. I had 600' of cables and ran some pretty long distances using the stainless steel collars in the through hole posts works best!
Good product, only the price in my opinion is greatly inflated.
Follow the instructions on cutting the wire length and you will have great results. One thing that I did to make the installation easier was to put them into my drill and “screw” them in and out. This put the “threads” in the wood and made the installation much easier. I would also recommend attaching them to the cable prior to screwing in. Having a partner to screw in both sides is a must. Doing it this way helps keep them straight, otw if you crimp the cable to it after you have started screwing them in you run the risk of bending them (I know this because I bent a couple).
The lag screws and tools were user friendly. It was a little time consuming, but the finished product is awesome! Attached wire with a hydraulic crimper also ordered on CKE!
Impressed with them so far. Easy to use, seems to be a good value. I predrilled all my holes then chucked them up in a drill to start then crimped wire in and tightened with included tool. Install went very quickly. 12x16 deck was done in no time. Only concern is how they hold up to the weather and only way to know is wait and see.
